A Chat With Dr. Rigg

I enjoy all aspects of veterinary care, but I believe that preventive care is one of the most important things we can do. Ensuring animals have the right nutrition from a young age, keeping vaccines and other preventative measures up-to-date, and adjusting diets as needed helps them live healthier, more comfortable lives.

My success comes from a lifetime of experience with animals, from childhood pets to farm animals and even wildlife. Growing up in a suburban-rural environment gave me hands-on experience caring for a variety of species, and that passion led me to veterinary medicine.

I love my dogs and enjoy spending time outdoors meeting neighbors and their pets. Seeing people out walking their dogs and connecting with their animals is one of my favorite things about being back in this community.

Start with a balanced, age-appropriate diet and stick to a routine. Most well-known pet food brands are nutritionally complete, but if a pet has a specific issue, diet adjustments can make a big difference in their overall health.
